A Community of Institutions and Relationships
Ògèrè’s community structure developed over centuries from wards, compounds, ruling houses, chiefs and age groups into a broader modern network of community development, educational, religious, professional and diaspora organisations. The website treats these bodies as complementary parts of the community rather than presenting any one organisation as the sole voice of the town.
The Ológèrè and Ológèrè-in-Council remain central to traditional leadership and cultural continuity. Modern development and civic coordination involve the Ogere Community Development Association (OCDA), recognised diaspora and youth organisations, schools, religious institutions, businesses, professional groups and statutory public bodies.

OCDA and Community Development
ODDA is an important contemporary community development institution. Its role involves stakeholder mobilisation, community leadership and development activities, including the long-running use of Lipakala Day as a platform for bringing sons and daughters of Ògèrè together around heritage and development.
Town Hall and Civic Engagement
Ògèrè Town Hall provides a physical location for community administration, meetings and civic engagement. It is the OCDA secretariat and also a point of reference for community programmes and coordination.
