Ogere Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria · Saturday 17 October 2026
About This Prospectus
This prospectus is the official sponsorship and partnership document for the 50th Lipakala Day Anniversary Celebration, the Golden Jubilee of Ogere Remo's annual heritage and community development celebration. It sets out what the celebration is, why it matters, how partners can support it, and how to participate.
It is issued by the Ogere Community Development Association (OCDA) and the 2026 Lipakala Day Planning Committee, under the royal blessing of His Royal Highness Oba James Obafemi Saliu, Kankanbina III, Arole Lipakala, Ologere of Ogere.
Purpose of the Prospectus
The prospectus exists to do four things:
-
Invite partners to present the Golden Jubilee as an opportunity for organisations and individuals to support a once-in-a-generation celebration and the development of Ogere.
-
Explain the opportunity to show what partners gain: visibility, stakeholder engagement, market activation, cultural goodwill and long-term relationships.
-
Set out the options, including clear partnership levels, contribution amounts, recognition benefits, and in-kind options, so partners can choose how to participate.
-
Establish accountability by committing to defined projects, an approved budget, clear records, and a post-event report for every partner.
What Everyone Needs to Be Aware Of
1. This is the Golden Jubilee - a milestone, not a routine edition
Lipakala Day has been held annually since 1976. The 2026 edition marks fifty years of continuity. It is described in the prospectus as "a once-in-a-generation opportunity" to celebrate identity, unity and collective progress.
2. It is both a celebration and a fundraising launch
The Golden Jubilee marks the launching of a ₦2.5 billion endowment fund towards the infrastructure development of Ogere. Partners are invited not simply as sponsors of an event, but as "builders of the town's future."

Why This Matters
The prospectus frames the Golden Jubilee as standing "at the intersection of remembrance and renewal." It honours the courage, resilience and communal responsibility represented by Ogere's founders - Olipakala, Yemogun and Lowa-Lida – while calling each generation to make its own contribution to the future.
For partners, it offers a distinctive platform: brand visibility, stakeholder engagement, market activation and corporate social responsibility, reaching a broad family audience, community and diaspora networks, traditional and public institutions, professionals, entrepreneurs, artisans and young people.
Together, we can honour the past, celebrate the present and invest in the future.
