About This Pamphlet
This is the official programme pamphlet for the 49th Lipakala Day Celebration, the annual Founder's Day ceremony of Ogere Remo, held at Wesley Primary School Playground on Saturday, 18 October 2025. It was produced by the Ogere Community Development Association (OCDA) under the royal blessing of His Royal Highness Oba James Obafemi Saliu, Kankanbina III, Arole Lipakala, Ologere of Ogere.
The pamphlet serves as the event programme, a record of the year's fundraising appeal, a celebration of Ogere's sons and daughters, and a thank you to the donors, sponsors, clubs and associations that made the day possible. It also points forward to the 50th anniversary in 2026.
Purpose of the Pamphlet
The pamphlet exists to do five things:
-
Set out the order of the day: the official programme of events, from opening prayer through to entertainment of guests.
-
Launch the year's appeal fund: a ₦500,000,000 appeal towards various development projects in the community.
-
Honour Ogere's people: merit award recipients, past awardees, past OCDA presidents, and the roll of honour.
-
Record the year's giving: the 2024 income and expenditure statement, the list of donors, and the list of programme sponsors.
-
Invite continued support: towards the completion of the Township Hall and other community projects.

1. This is the 49th edition, the eve of the Golden Jubilee
The 2025 celebration is the 49th Lipakala Day, held exactly one year before the 50th anniversary in 2026. It was held on Saturday, 18 October 2025 at Wesley Primary School Playground, Ogere Remo.

The OCDA President used the occasion to request generous donations towards the completion of the Ogere Township Hall, which is nearing completion and already in its final stage. Why This Matters
The 2025 pamphlet captures a community on the eve of its Golden Jubilee, celebrating fifty years of Lipakala Day in 2026. It records what has been built, who built it, what was given, what was spent and what remains to be done. It honours the founders, Olipakala and Yemogun, and it calls every son and daughter of Ogere, at home and abroad, to play their part in the next chapter.
As the OCDA President put it, quoting Helen Keller: "Alone we can do so little, but together we can do so much."
